In 2014, I was tasked with developing innovative marketing tactics (outside of the main campaign) to attract a wider audience for the second season of Orange is the New Black on Netflix.
Mashing Up the Slate - My goal was to leverage the power of Netflix's existing titles to drive interest in the show. I created a series of mashup videos that combined footage from popular Netflix titles with Orange is the New Black. This campaign tapped into the existing fan bases of these shows and encouraged them to explore the new season of Orange is the New Black. By highlighting the common themes and tone of these titles, I was able to create a compelling narrative that resonated with audiences.
Pride, Partnerships and Surprises - I spearheaded the sponsorship of the New York Gay Pride Parade, partnered with Gilt.com, and created a "Crazy Pyes" stunt, giving out mini-pie's to fans in NY and LA.
